Sorry, today will be a short entry. I'm battling a fierce sinus headache and will be turning in shortly. I'm working on getting events set up in various places in Illinois, including my high school hometown of Mt. Zion and my parents' home town of Peoria. I've been having a difficult time so far because bookstores seem to be very reluctant to take books that have been produced by a print on demand method, even though the books are returnable. What that means is that they can return the books if they don't sell, which is exactly what happens with other big, non print on demand publishers. So, I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm still working on it. People seem very interested in getting the book (someone actually even dropped off a copy of the article about my book that ran in the Journal Star a couple weeks ago to the Borders in Peoria), so I'll get it out there, one way or another. I'm also working on getting into libraries to speak and various author/reader chatrooms. So stay tuned (does anything actually even require tuning anymore?) for more details on upcoming events.
I'm planning to update my site sometime this weekend as well!
